In May 2018, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I had to receive chemotherapy and radiology. Afterwards, I had to immediately have a mastectomy on my left breast.
In May 2021, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC), which is when it spreads to other parts of the body. It spread to my brain so I had to receive the GABA knife treatment and then surgery the next day to have it removed.
In June 2023, I continued to fight MBC as it returned to my brain once again, so I had to have the GABA knife laser surgery to have it removed once again.
And finally, November 28th of 2023, MBC continued to try and claim my life once again in my brain. But, through surgery, once again, the Lord stepped in.
I believe that breast cancer is a silent killer, but I’m a four-time breast cancer survivor. I’ve been called to be an advocate for breast cancer to help women. I’m a wife of 33 years, a mother of 6 children, 1 daughter-in-law, a grandmother of 6 grandchildren, and a great-grandmother.
My body, skin, lips, and my one breast make me unique. To all the women who are going through breast cancer: know that you are beautifully and wonderfully made, and you can make it. So, keep your head up!
Love is beautifully chosen!
BREAST CANCER IS NOT A COLOR; IT’S A SILENT KILLER OF ALL WOMEN!
