About Us
Statistics say that 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime… In February 2022, I was diagnosed with stage 1 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma and became 1 of those 8 women. I survived the pink tragedy but underwent 8 surgeries including a lumpectomy, 16 rounds of radiation, prophylactic bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction, and 2 post-operative complications.

Boobs, Sweat & Tears
Breast Cancer has touched three generations in this family. Heir to Breast Cancer broadly addresses the narrative of the author’s experience with the disease but also gives a crash course on the types of breast cancer, treatments, post-operative complications, screening, genetics, and more. The book is complete with illustrations and photographs to bring a more vivid canvas about breast cancer. It offers motivation, support, and courage to the newly diagnosed, survivors, thrivers, caregivers, and advocates alike. From the first page, readers are immersed into Zainab’s journey, empowering you to draw from her subtle humor, strength, resilience, and hope in defying the odds of breast cancer. This honest account of her experience will inform and inspire you.
