I’m an Angel Advocate and motivational speaker. I got diagnosed at the age of 32 with Grade 3 IDC, PR/ER positive. I went through 8 rounds of chemo, two surgeries (lumpectomy), and 20 rounds of radiation the first time around, and then hormonal therapy after.
I thought it was over until I got a mammogram at the end of 2020, had another biopsy, and then was told the unfortunate news that the cancer was back. On January 26, 2021, I underwent a double mastectomy with DIEP flap surgery along with still continuing hormone therapy treatment (Verzenio, Faslodex, and Zoladex).
In August 2021, I had revision surgery to correct some issues from the previous surgery. I was on hormone therapy treatment and was cancer-free all the way up until 2022 when I got the horrible diagnosis that I was now metastatic. My tumors were now in my right breast area, under my left arm, and my right hip bone; two major tumors.
Since 2023, I’ve been on 6 different chemo drugs, and am still on monthly injections. I’ve just started the seventh chemo drug hoping for stableness.
